Everything You Need To Know

Answers to what couples ask us most before they begin — organised by service. Don't see your question? Just message us on WhatsApp.

General

Is Lumina Celebrations a licensed company?

Yes — Lumina Celebrations is a registered company (Trade License No. 89086, licensed by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority), and every marriage service we arrange follows official UAE procedures from start to finish.

How do I start the process?

Send us a message through the contact form or WhatsApp with your situation and timeline. We reply personally, usually within a few hours, and recommend the right service for you — free, with no obligation.

Is my personal information kept private?

Yes. Your documents and personal details are used only to process your marriage and are never shared beyond the official authorities required for registration.

Civil Marriage

Can non-residents or tourists get married in the UAE?

Yes — civil marriage in Ras Al Khaimah is open to non-residents from most countries. Abu Dhabi civil marriage has its own eligibility rules, which we confirm with you individually.

What documents do I need?

Typically valid passports, entry visas, and — depending on your situation — proof that you're free to marry. We give you an exact checklist after our first conversation.

How long does the process take?

It depends on the tier and location — Essentials uses standard court booking windows (typically 2–3 months), while Signature and Concierge tiers offer express processing in as little as 24–48 hours.

Will my marriage be recognised back home?

A UAE civil marriage certificate, once attested by MOFA (and legalised by your embassy if required), is recognised internationally in the large majority of countries. We handle this attestation as part of our Signature and Concierge tiers.

Religious Marriage

Is a Nikah legally binding on its own?

An Islamic Nikah arranged through Dubai's Islamic Affairs authority is legally recognised in the UAE. If you also need international legal recognition, we can add MOFA attestation.

Do both partners need to be Muslim for a Nikah?

Requirements depend on each partner's background — we talk this through with you privately before booking, and coordinate any required documentation with the relevant authority.

Is the Online Halal Marriage recognised internationally?

Yes — once legalised, it's recognised across the GCC and in many other countries. We'll confirm recognition for your specific country before you book.

Ceremonies & Concierge

Do we need to be legally married before our ceremony?

No — many couples hold a symbolic ceremony before, after, or entirely separate from their legal registration. We design the event around whatever stage you're at.

What exactly is included in RAK Mini-Moon or Georgia Full Experience?

Both bundle your legal marriage with hotel, transfers and concierge touches — exact inclusions are listed under each package, and can be customised further.

How far in advance should we book?

For express tiers, a few days is often enough. For full ceremonies or destination concierge packages, we recommend 4–8 weeks for the best venue and vendor availability.
